Baseball fans in Japan are already seeing the same talent and enthusiasm from Ronald Acuna that Braves fans saw this season.
Acuna is playing for an All-Star team of major leaguers in a series against their counterparts from Nippon Professional Baseball.
Acuna had two hits Thursday, one of them a double, as the major-league stars beat the Yomiuri Giants 9-6 in Tokyo. Acuna also struck out twice and scored a run. He played center field and left field.
Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto hit a homer for the major-leaguers.
The seven-game series runs from Nov. 8-15. Games will be played in Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagoya.
