MLB Pipeline names one breakout prospect for all 30 major league teams with right-hander Freddy Tarnok getting the nod for the Braves. Tarnok is Atlanta’s No. 18 prospect according to Pipeline’s list.

The Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers pulled off a big trade on Friday. The Reds acquired outfielders Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig, left-hander Alex Wood and catcher Kyle Farmer from the Dodgers in exchange for Homer Bailey, infield prospect Jeter Downs and right-hander Josiah Gray. The Reds take a step towards respectability with the deal while the Dodgers clear a pair outfielders and unload salary.
The Seattle Mariners acquired outfielder Domingo Santana from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for Ben Gamel and minor league pitcher Noah Zavolas. Santana slugged 30 home runs in 2017 but spent part of last season in Triple-A after the additions of Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain.
The Cardinals reached an agreement with reliever Andrew Miller on a two-year deal worth $25 million. The deal also includes a $12 million vesting option for a third year if Miller appears in 110 games over the next two seasons.
Manny Machado met with the White Sox, Yankees and Phillies this week but won’t make a decision on his free agent destination until January. He notified all three clubs on Friday and told them he would wait until after the holidays to make a decision.
Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia recently underwent an angioplasty and had a stent placed. As scary as that sounds, his prognosis is positive and he is expected to be ready for spring training.
