Fred McGriff seeing added support but still far short in early Hall of Fame voting

Former Atlanta Braves first baseman Fred McGriff has seen a surge in support in his final year on the Hall of Fame ballot based on early returns. However, he is still expected to fall far short of the necessary 75 percent of the voted needed to gain election. McGriff’s best chance may come via the Era committees who recently elected Lee Smith and Harold Baines.

The best wins of 2018 for all 30 teams

MLB.com looks back at the 2018 season and lists one signature win for each team. Atlanta’s came back on May 20 of last season when they entered the ninth trailing 9-4 but rallied for a 10-9 win capped off by two-run walk-off single by Dansby Swanson.
